the double-faced life

Everything in our life is experienced by us human beings, but they are not the same thoughts that exist in everyone’s head. They are typically different. Everyone sees  things the way they want to see them.
I always thought  that what I saw was the same as what the others saw . But today I was  stupefied   while watching a white picture  mottled in black. I felt like I was watching a cow. Then  I realized that the black spots have the shape of the earth. At the end it was weird when someone said he could see ice or horses. When I started to focus I realized that I can see it that way too. Moreover, when we saw the next picture it was two old people who were kissing. But then there was something wrong so when we began to look closely it was two people who were playing guitar that seemed to represent the two faces.
The importance of this perceptive is that If you asked why you saw this or how the other people saw it, you’ll understand  the reason. You can see that what’s transpiring in our minds is a result of our education and our type of thinking, if we’re bigot or receptive, the way we are living and our experiences. Every second of our life could affect our vision and how we see things. The knowledge of someone’s opinion about a picture or an event could  lead us to understand how he feels and thinks and perhaps you’ll estimate something about that person or even his personality.
Life is like that picture, there are different faces but each one of us can see only one face. Some people because of their bigotry cannot accept the others’ opinions. The others are the ones who are thinking about why that is happening. A simple example is the Egyptian  revolution. Some people thinks it’s insignificant while others think it is the beginning of a new history. What’s transpiring here in Egypt is because  people don’t think about other’s opinions, and keep fighting about these insignificant things. Now at this juncture there is a huge difference between us. So everyone is thinking differently.
The important thing is not to know that people think in a diverted way but to respect their opinions and to never deride them or think that they are all the same. Don’t prejudge people. We should not believe that  religious people are all bad, even we Muslims think that they are terrorists while we should defend them. Even for all the others we’re all terrorist though The same thing about people from different races or religions . We can make a list of these people who are more doughty than we are. That’s the reason for  hatred and mockery. This is why we are in this situation now. It’s not only about Egypt but about us. Before asking how  we could change our country, why can’t we begin by  asking ourselves: why can’t WE change?

LIFE'S WORTH IT!

It’s hard to talk about something that I never tried in my whole life. I’ve heard about it, but as we all know for our generation it’s just insignificant. Today they don’t care about anything but having fun. Maybe for us everything is equal and  work is just something  that we do if we have extra time.  For me, I know that I prefer wasting my time on Facebook or the T.V. , but I also think about the work that I have to finish. When I was young I had something like a chart so I could write  everything that I was going to do. At the end I found myself having the time to play, to watch the television,  and  to do whatever I wanted. That was the reason of my elaborated day. We should all use our time sagely as it’s valuable. I think it’s time  to repeat  this system again. If I continue like this, I know my life will be prosaic at the end. I really don’t know what I should  write, but I think that before emphasizing the value of time management we should at first understand the importance of life and that we should not waste it in worthless things. Now a day, people know the price of everything and the value of nothing. Time is the most precious thing in life. It influences every single moment and everything we do. To manage time is to manage life!
Our life is full of seconds, we don’t know when we’re going to die. Perhaps it’s tomorrow or after a second. So live as if it will happen. Animate every second of your life, make your history. Emphasize yourself and give it the respect as it’s worth it. Contemplate your future, because it is what makes you who you are. Life is like a puzzle. You should adjust it so that the picture appears. It’s the same principle here, by premeditating your schedule and time, putting the essential pieces first, your future will become more and more clear.  Do not nullify your time, even if it’s yours but take care of it. Prioritize what will make you a better person, I don’t think it could be the play station. Leave the amusement to the end. We don’t know the importance of what we have, we should even thank god that we have the capability to write this now.
I really want that everyone can heed  “time management”. I think I should do the same as I just realized that I’ll do my blog post at 8 o’clock and I’ve been wasting approximately 4 hours  doing frivolous things that have postponed it till now. They won’t help me in my life. I could die soon without accomplishing anything. Or even without doing anything important. Everyone would like to die after leaving a legend behind him. But now what will we leave? Our facebook or twitter’s accounts?

My Disappointment After The Revolution

I thought of writing a topic about several different things, but what I feel like writing about now is what is happening in Egypt. When the revolution transpired I thought that everything would change and that Egypt would improve and become more and more developed . But know what I feel is the complete opposite. I can’t believe that we are a violent country when I thought that is the most safe place where we can sleep placidly . I never thought that I would want to leave my country because it is the place where I was born and the place that made me what I am now. But sometimes at this juncture I believe that I want to leave Egypt, not for me, but for my family. I don’t want to feel that I am afraid to lose my family ,because I’m sure that my life will be ruined without them. What is happening now in  our violent country is something that I’ve never seen before. It’s like a scary movie that I am trying to stop but I can’t. Everything wrong is happening.  I want to scream and say we are not living in a jungle, and that I want to create our paradise. All the crimes that are occurring are unbelievable. Probably they were always there but unseen. At first I was indifferent but at this moment I can’t stop thinking about loss, and every homeless, hungry person .I thought that  the 25th of January was insignificant and what I cared about  was the vacation . At this instant I keep thinking about myself in Tahrir square, even if  I might become a martyr because I feel that the best thing is dying for your country. All the people who died were going to this square with their dreams of changing their beloved country. But what they don’t know now is that Egypt is going down. I want to thank god that we aren’t like Syria or Iraq but we will reach them easily.  They don’t have humanity. Love and peace is decreasing so fast, as if we were meant to drop it this fast. What I can see is violence ,hatred and sadism. I want to wake up from this nightmare and find myself in the world full of zeal and enthusiasm. I cannot believe how everyone is becoming so selfish. Their heart of stone will never be able to feel at all. They are killing a large number of persons that cannot be counted, kidnapping children and raping. They are  doing all                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          the worst things in this life. They are killing us, and not heeding us. They are scaring us and not condoling us. They are always there to break our hearts and  not  here to appease us… I think they should erase the word humanity from everywhere even the dictionary because there is no reason to create a word whose meaning does not exist in real life.

CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE!

When I talk about civil disobedience, I ask myself two questions: how can breaking the law be considered as civil disobedience ? and  when can it be morally justified ? actually to be able to answer these questions  we have to understand civil disobedience.  In fact, it can  be described as an active refusal to obey laws and commands of a government. It is a type of civil resistance which is commonly considered as non-violent. This term was first used by Henry David Thoreau in his 1948 essay which later inspired many who claimed their protests were acts of civil disobedience. We see, for example, Gandhi’s resistance to British rule in India, and Martin Luther  King’s  U.S. civil  rights  movement. They both played an important role in social change. So, can civil disobedience be justified? Yes, it can if the cause for such an act is well founded and just. A person must have reasons for joining this kind of disobedience such as, for example, the feeling of injustice for the ill-treatment of blacks, or respect for human dignity, etc…. The Egyptian revolution of 1919 lead by Saad Zaghloul is considered one of the successful examples of non- violent civil disobedience against the British occupation of Egypt and Sudan.

After the Egyptian revolution of 2011 ,  I thought everything  will change but I was wrong. Now everything is going wrong. At this juncture Egypt is considered as one of  the most violent counties. I never thought that this could happen to the my country which should be full of peace and not anguish. I can’t stop myself from being scared. My heart  breaks every time I know that someone died as I could not do anything to help them. There are innumerable losses that cannot be accepted. It is appalling how lots of banks are stolen into and people are being killed and kidnapped. I  can’t sleep, when I close my eyes I only see nightmares.  Sleeping should be appeasing but now it is not anymore. When I try to have fun, what comes to my mind suddenly is now you’re having fun and you can’t imagine the prodigious number of people who are crying and living in anguish.  What I know is that I should think about what is happening around. I put myself in their shoes, to believe that this could happen to me or to my family. I wasn’t interested in politics before and I didn’t even know the name of the new government. I didn’t know anything at all, it was insignificant and ambiguous to me. But after the loss of my second cousin in Port Said  my sister told me about everything that transpired there. I began to think and to feel sorry for everyone. When I knew that a civil disobedience will transpire, I believed that it will succeed just like what happened with Gandhi. That’s why I thought that the next day will be off. But I was wrong for the second time. When I woke up on Saturday, the first thing that I did was that I looked from a window just like a little girl who is running to watch the fireworks. But I was stupefied, it was like every Saturday. The street was full of people and cars. Even the delivery was working. I know this  because I ordered something. Okay I know that this  is a kind of a lax and indifferent attitude but I was hungry. I even thought that it was Friday because that day was too prosaic.  And nothing really happened. I think  that if this civil disobedience was well prepared it wouldn’t fail at all.  Moreover, if some of the people did not preclude it and made it impossible to occur and  heeded this action. Most of us were tentative about this  decision and apprehensive. We should be unanimous, so that all the Egyptians  participate in this action Now they nullified the civil disobedience and it lost it importance and meaning. If we try this another time and if it works it will mollify us.

the meaning of a good friend

There are many people that we meet in our lives. But only a very few will make  a lasting impression on our minds and hearts. It is these people that we will think of often and who will remain important to us as  good friends . I won’t choose someone to talk about because everyone can be a good friend if he really wants to. A good friend is someone who is known to have a benign personality. A person who will  always be next to you whenever you need something. He’ll help in your worth. It shouldn’t be a childhood friend because you can always find an amiable friend if it’s not yesterday, it will be today. If it’s not today, it will be tomorrow. But remember that it is a treasure you just found, that you should keep it safe in your heart. Lots of people don’t believe in friendship, but what they don’t know is that a good friendship can be stronger than anything, stronger than the hurricane and the wind. A good friend is someone who will wipe your tears when you cry, who will hug you till his warming arms will appease you. It’s that person that will always remain in your heart like a tattoo. He will always believe you. He will condole you. He’s the person that you can’t live without, like the air you breath, the water you drink. Just like a single rose can be my garden, a single friend can be my world. He is the one that will carry you and hold you up when you are weak. He is indispensable. A true friend is someone who never gets tired of listening to your pointless dramas over and over again. If you fall, he will pick you up (after you finish laughing). He is always here to heed you, to make you feel zealous. He loves you when you don’t love yourself. When you’ll fake a smile, he’ll tell you go ahead and cry. He will give you hope when life is low. This is what friendship is. It is so precious that you have to protect it and value it always. Thank you all my friends for always being there for me !
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Do you really think that poetry is not important?

Art fills a prodigious place in our life. It’s the method used by everyone to express their feelings without repressing them. Art can be in the form of drawings, pictures, music, or poems. Poetry is the universal language which the heart holds with nature and itself. I believe it’s a mixture of  everything. The poet draws  things by writing and describing feelings or objects  to give you the chance to imagine them. Adolescents think that it is insignificant, that it is a simple piece of paper that everyone can write  easily.  Poetry throws a beautiful light on anything. There are many poems about love, sorrow, pain, injustice and a lot more but you will never find the same way of writing. Perhaps different poets will write about the same theme but  will not have the same style because everyone has his own way to express his ideas and feelings..It is a means of bringing out what is deep down in our souls . Poetry appeases us and inspires us . We should read poetry because we are a member of a human race  filled with passion, hope, love, romance… that’s what we live for. Don’t you feel that there is something in common between you and  poetry ? So, are you still not convinced that it is important?
I  personally thought  it was prosaic at first, just like most of the children my age. Then I realized that I was wrong, it is totally the opposite. It’s animated and full of fervor. It shows you the meaning of things, gives you advices, tell you how to live. Poetry is plucking at the heartstrings, and making music with them.  Poetry is relegated and we should show people its importance . It is now time for us to inspire the new generation. Its importance is no less than science, it seeks a hold upon reality, and the closeness of its approach is the test of its success.

SOPA?

When I first heard the word SOPA the first thing that came to my mind was that it was a disease I hadn’t heard of before like HIV or AIDS. Then I started hearing people talking about it and realized that I was wrong. I was so curious to know what this abbreviation meant so I immediately started searching.

What is SOPA?  To my surprise ,it is not a disease or anything strange as its sound leads us to believe. In fact, SOPA is a “Stop Online Piracy Act “ . It is an anti-piracy bill introduced by the U.S. congress on October 2011 which grants movie studios and record labels the right to remove foreign sites against whom they have a copyright claim.
How will SOPA actually affect us if it passes? IP owners can take action simply by notifying Google or PayPal who have five days only to abide to this blockade. This will lead to sites being blacklisted on the internet. The potential for abuse is also high. For example, Google could remove any rival domains claiming that they are hosting copyright material. SOPA gives them this right without getting permission.
This is appalling . We have to do something about this. We have to support and advocate the anti- SOPA movement. We, the children, rely on the internet everyday and for everything: our homework, movies, YouTube , and facebook. The internet was built on the principles of freedom. These principles will be marred and diverted by SOPA. We have to continue defending the ant-SOPA movement, but at the same time, regulations should be put to prevent the theft of other people’s work.
Well, now that you finally know what SOPA is , how do you feel about it ?

About Me

Everyone has his own life, and his own story. We will never find two people who are exactly the same, perhaps we’ll find something similar, because everyone has a unique personality and a special point of view. Because “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You”. That’s why I’ll introduce and talk about myself . I am a simple Egyptian girl, born on the 10th march 1997, I’m Noor Eissa. I am a student in Oasis International School. It’s the reason for who I am now. This is the school where I began my studies and there I will finish them. It’s not the perfect school that I wanted to enter but it’s much better than others, and it’s the place that changed my life and affects it. I’m a vulnerable person who cares about people’s feelings and doesn’t want to break someone’s heart. It’s too hard for me to belittle someone but it’s way better for me to heed them and respect them. I’ve always tried my best to be a philanthropist ,and to condone people. I’ve treated people as if they’ll die tonight, to treat them the way I want them to treat me. I’ve repressed my feelings a lot. I am that person than never gives up. just because I fail once, doesn't mean I’m going to fail at everything. I should Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in myself, because if I don't, then who will? It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not.

Once you’ve got a good soul, you’ll see everything with a benign heart, and you’ll feel that you’re in your own film that you create. Because  “We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.”
Life for me is art, it’s the creativity that is rolling around us, the music that appeases us and makes us fly. The movies full of emotions make you remember a part of your life. Stories that we live in and read  with our hearts. even the cartoons , I can’t imagine that I am still watching them. It’s so animated that I realize that there is no specific age for watching them. I opened my eyes, finding drawings everywhere, I’ve been inspired from my family. Now the way I want to express my feelings would be in drawing and sometimes singing. I go to the balcony and start to sing as I know that well that no one will hear me. The time of sorrow, it’s the time when I’d like to be alone .
My future is very hypothetical and elusive. I don’t even know what I want to be, every day I change my decision. I want to do innumerable things when I grow up. But what I really what to do, it’s to help my country, to play a role in the human rights. I want to change the world. I want to nullify the disparities between people and also between different countries. Why shouldn’t we be united and to put our hands in each other ‘s hands? To save people’s lives and to live all in a peaceful world, in the paradise that we will create. Or I can be a lawyer, to save lots of persons from the inequality that is growing and transpiring everywhere. I’d like to advocate and to convince people of my point.
I’ve been inspired by lots of people that shows me the meaning of life and helps me knowing what should I do and to stop thinking of only myself but the community and the people around me. Because my happiness is related to the others.
I’d like to make something in life, I want to die and proffer a history before I leave this world, I want people to remember me not by the negative points but by the positives ones. I want to give to my children a good example of an amiable person after inspiring them to be better and not to be supercilious and arrogant. “In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.”

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. And that we only live once, but if we do it right, once is enough.

New Year's resolution

When the clock strikes twelve on December 31st, I’ll open my book where it is full of blank pages because I want to fill it with my own words. We shouldn’t wait all  year to open this empty book since we can open it anytime. Do you think that there is anything that could stop you learning from your mistakes, stop your infamies, or give second chances? I don’t think so. Because every early second will be better for you and your new life. But for most of us the beginning of a new year is encouraging us and giving us enthusiasm. It comes only once a year, hence before looking forward to the next year we should first remember the 365 days that just passed and every second that had marked our life. We should realize that those moments will never come back, they are gone and most of them will never  be repeated. There are some happy moments but also times of sorrow.
That’s why I’ll fill my 2012 book with all my resolutions. Before finding  new ones, I should hold on to my old ones, to keep them and not to neglect them because it’s a new year. This is the day  we should enjoy with our beloved ones, because when you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. Consequently, I will stay more with my family and friends, to condone, to be less vulnerable, that doesn’t mean to be lax and indifferent. Moreover, not to preclude the unwanted future, to have hope and faith in god. We should be animated, do new things and not to live in a prosaic life, to retract our words because they could be forgiven but not forgotten.
We should be true to ourselves and to admit  that we are not perfect and  have lots of negative points in our personality, and we should not  be  supercilious to say it. That’s what we should do on new year’s eve: to make a new YOU. That’s why that night could change our life. This amazing day could be a fresh spirit for everyone.

New year’s eve is not only for celebrating and having fun. But it’s to remember the important things that  you’ve passed through and also  the rare and precious moments. It’s the day you are trying to be a better person, to help and heed people. You want to stop all the hatred and fill your hearts with joy and happiness. Even if this year may be a bad  one but we should always be optimistic, and remember that there are others living in very bad conditions which are much worse than ours, and we should  thank god. We should look forward, start thinking about others and not only of ourselves.Because that's what New Year  is all about: getting another chance. It is a chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more. It’s a new beginning and another tomorrow that will be full of cheers and happiness.
For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.
